April fools day!
April brings longer days, new life and the hopes for warmer weather. It also brings April fools day - a day filled with practical jokes. Honda said they were making Emoji number plates, two of the London Eye's pods were claimed to be turning into luxury studio apartments and the Cornish Guardian pretended that workers at The Lost Gardens of Heligan had crossbred a Devon and Cornwall Longwood sheep with a Tamworth pig - calling it a Shig - all pretty amazing, right?
When it comes to Dad and April Fools Day, however, his jokes aren't quite as amazing. He tends to sit for a while thinking what will be super funny and shocking - something that no one else will think of doing. Oh and of course it can't be light hearted - that's not how he rolls! So what was the best thing he could come up with? Pretending he had sold the house and was moving abroad? No. Pretending he had sold the dogs? No.
He put US up for sale. On Facebook!
Yes folks, you read that right. He put us up for sale, and what's even worse - it isn't the first time he's done it.
He has done this multiple times throughout the years, and to our surprise, people have actually bid, even with the offer of camels! It's lovely to know your worth is equal to a camel's.
On a serious note though, we obviously haven't been sold for camels - much to Dad's dismay - and we're still sitting under his roof writing lovely little blogs highlighting his flaws (hehe, we love ya really).
We're sorry if our father's humour has offended you this week but just remember, you're lucky not to be his daughters!
